Multimedia Journalist, Telemundo Arizona (Phoenix)

Location: Phoenix, Arizona, United States; onsite work required with frequent field travel

What you will do

• Shoot, write, edit, produce, and present daily television, OTT, online, and digital news stories.
• Set up, operate, and manage live shots independently, including breaking-news coverage.
• Gather information, investigate leads, develop enterprise stories, and maintain a year-round pipeline of story ideas and sources.
• Build news rundowns, draft headlines and updates, and collaborate with assignment desks, producers, reporters, anchors, and control-room personnel.
• Cover studio and field assignments, community and station events, and occasional emcee or host duties.
• Maintain cameras, lighting equipment, and other technical gear in working condition.

Requirements

• At least three years of reporting experience in a Spanish-language top-10 broadcast television market.
• At least one year of experience shooting with HD cameras and one year working with film or video lighting.
• Bilingual English and Spanish communication is required; advanced Spanish proficiency is essential.
• Knowledge of Dalet, iNews, nonlinear editing systems, camera operation, Microsoft Office, and web-based programs.
• Strong writing, verbal communication, on-camera, improvisation, organization, and deadline-management skills.
• Must be willing to work in Phoenix, work nights and weekends, travel, and hold unrestricted United States work authorization, an active driver’s license, and an excellent driving record.
