Lathe Machinist III - 2nd Shift (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite in Buffalo, New York, United States

Salary: $32.00–$37.00 per hour, plus a 10% shift differential for second- and third-shift employees

What you will do

• Set up and operate CNC lathes with milling capabilities to produce complex, high-precision components.
• Run parts to close tolerances, fine finishes, and complex geometries with minimal supervision.
• Inspect completed work, set up and adjust gaging equipment, and identify unusual conditions or defective parts.
• Interpret complex drawings, including GD&T blueprints, sketches, and operation sheets.
• Plan work and solve machining problems within the production cell.

Requirements

• At least four years of experience as a CNC lathe machinist working with lathe machines that have milling capabilities.
• Working knowledge of G-code.
• Ability to understand and apply verbal, written, and computer-based work instructions or training in English.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Access to U.S. export-controlled information is required for this position.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Fanuc controls and STAR Swiss-type automatic lathes.
• Knowledge of B-axis mill-turn machines with main and sub-spindles.
