Lathe Machinist I - 2nd Shift (Aerospace)

Salary: $22.00–$27.00 per hour, plus a 10% second-shift differential

What you will do

• Set up and operate CNC lathes with milling capabilities to produce components with close tolerances, fine finishes, and complex geometry.
• Manufacture precision parts for flight-critical military aircraft programs, including F-35, MQ-25, and FLRAA.
• Inspect completed work and set up or adjust gaging equipment.
• Detect unusual conditions, deviations, and defective parts, escalating issues when required.
• Interpret complex drawings, GD&T blueprints, sketches, and operation sheets.

Requirements

• At least one year of general machinist experience or graduation from a formal manufacturing, machining, or CNC training program.
• Ability to follow machining escalation procedures and apply verbal, written, and computer-based work instructions.
• Familiarity with measuring equipment, including micrometers and dial bore gauges.
• Competency in reading and interpreting blueprints and written work instructions.
• English training and work-instruction comprehension are required.
• Participation in the FAA Drug & Alcohol Program is required for safety-sensitive work.
