Machinist I - Weekend Day

Location: Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, United States; on-site. Friday–Sunday, 6:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.

Salary: $26–$30 per hour, plus a $2,000 sign-on bonus for external applicants.

What you will do

• Set up and operate CNC milling and lathe machines while meeting tight manufacturing specifications.
• Prepare CAM files from CAD files, technical prints, and verbal instructions using relevant machining tools.
• Inspect parts with measuring instruments and make decisions related to quality requirements.
• Maintain job organization, material inventory, machines, and general shop equipment.
• Identify solutions to recurring production issues and support continuous improvement.
• Complete operator preventive maintenance tasks and help ensure timely delivery of jobs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience operating CNC milling or lathe machines, including setup and some programming knowledge, is preferred.
• Knowledge of machining in a prototype manufacturing environment or related education and experience.
• Familiarity with SolidWorks, Mastercam, CAD/CAM, and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to read blueprints, use calipers, protractors, and height gauges, and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
• Due to ITAR regulations, applicants must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, or foreign nationals with refugee or asylee status. Temporary visa holders are not eligible.
