Sr Field Inspector

Location: Empire State Building, New York, New York; field offices in New York City. The role requires flexibility to work swing, night, and weekend shifts as needed.

Salary: $133,635.31–$152,726.06 per year

What you will do

• Inspect existing conditions, ongoing work, and completed work for quality, completeness, and accuracy.
• Prepare daily work reports, controlled inspection reports, time and material records, and unit price documentation.
• Review and mark plans and specifications to track compliance with performed work.
• Observe work conditions for compliance with applicable safety regulations.
• Prioritize conflicting needs, resolve matters promptly, and follow projects through completion.
• Communicate work progress to project stakeholders and perform related inspection duties.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field preferred.
• 10 or more years of experience in construction supervision or inspection.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to pass a high-level TWIC and/or SWAC background check.
• Ability to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods.
• Authorization to work in the United States and fluent English proficiency in written and spoken communication are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with rail, tunnel, structural, or station projects.
• Experience with substations.
• Advanced certifications such as NICET or ACI.
