Assistant Resident Engineer/Structures Representative

Location: On-site in Ontario, California, supporting roadway transportation construction projects in Riverside County

Salary: $88,800–$133,200 annually, depending on skills, experience, education, competencies, and local market conditions

What you will do

• Inspect roadway and bridge construction procedures and verify contractor work against contract documents.
• Prepare daily inspection reports and inspect foundation construction, including pile driving and drilling.
• Complete bridge superstructure calculations using four-scales and inspect falsework placement and removal.
• Document pay quantities, support development of the Final Estimate, and verify monthly progress payment documentation.
• Track change order work, material inspections, certifications, and project acceptance.
• Support compliance with applicable standards and specifications and assist with resolving project issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of relevant experience with highway and bridge construction concepts and practices.
• Ability to assist in resolving project issues effectively and efficiently.
