Director of Product Development (Software)

Location: In-office 5 days a week at the Denver Tech Center or the Chicago office, United States.

Salary: $175,000–$205,000 per year plus annual bonus.

Multifamily real estate operator headquartered in Denver, managing properties across major US markets and developing technology capabilities for its operations.

What you will do

• Define and communicate product vision, strategy, roadmap, and investment priorities.
• Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary product organization including product managers, UX designers, and data analysts.
• Own the full product lifecycle from discovery, research, and prototyping through agile development, launch, and iteration.
• Partner with engineering, UX, data, marketing, sales, and customer success to deliver high-quality software releases.
• Lead product and feature launches, go-to-market enablement, release documentation, and adoption optimization.
• Track activation, retention, engagement, NPS, ARR/MRR contribution, and operational efficiency to optimize the product portfolio.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• 10+ years of product management experience in a technology company, including 5+ years leading product teams.
• Proven success launching and scaling software products such as SaaS, cloud platforms, mobile applications, or enterprise technology.
• Strong understanding of modern technology stacks, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and agile development practices.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, prioritization, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work in the office five days per week in Denver or Chicago.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI/ML-driven products, cloud-native technologies, or large-scale distributed systems.
• Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, engineering workflows, SQL, experimentation frameworks, and metrics design.
• Experience with global products or multi-tenant architecture.
• MBA or an advanced technical degree.
