Product Engineer II (AI)

Location: Boston, Massachusetts, United States; on-site

Salary: $110,000–$125,000 per year, including base compensation and a portion of variable compensation.

What you will do

• Define and communicate product vision, roadmap priorities, and product decisions based on customer research, competitive context, and business goals.
• Conduct customer and stakeholder discovery, synthesize findings, and determine what to build or discontinue.
• Define user experience flows and interaction patterns within the design system.
• Write intent documents and acceptance criteria for AI-assisted specification, development, and testing workflows.
• Partner with engineering to resolve ambiguity, unblock delivery, and make decisions during development.
• Track adoption, usage, and business outcomes, and represent the product in customer conversations, QBRs, and cross-functional reviews.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in product management, software engineering, or a closely related technical role.
• Ability to contribute to cross-functional engineering projects and understand connections to system architecture and broader team goals.
• Experience conducting customer or stakeholder interviews or translating technical requirements and research into engineering specifications.
• Strong written and verbal communication, including explaining technical trade-offs and incorporating feedback.
• Developing comfort with AI-assisted coding, code review, or testing tools; willingness to become proficient is required.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and ship reliably.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with design systems, component-based architecture, or API and data modeling.
• Experience with modern SaaS architecture, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and CI/CD.
