Quality Engineering Co-Op (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: Rockrimmon, Colorado Springs, Colorado, United States; onsite work in office, laboratory, manufacturing, and cleanroom environments

Salary: $20–$30 per hour, depending on skills and experience

What you will do

• Support IQ/OQ/PQ process validations for new products, tooling, and equipment.
• Analyze manufacturing and quality data to identify trends, improve process capability, and reduce defects.
• Assist with nonconformance investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain control plans, inspection procedures, sampling plans, PFMEAs, and other quality documentation.
• Participate in audits, process reviews, ISO 9001 compliance activities, new product introductions, and tooling transfers.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Process Engineering, Metrology, Operations, and Supply Chain teams on quality and continuous improvement projects.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline, with graduation expected between December 2027 and May 2029.
• Must be currently enrolled and able to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., January through June.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, communication, and technical data interpretation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Must be able to work safely onsite in office, laboratory, manufacturing, and cleanroom environments, including wearing required PPE and performing extended standing, walking, inspections, and occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.

Nice to have

• Exposure to statistical analysis, quality tools, or engineering laboratory environments.
• Experience with CAD, Minitab, SPC, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, quality systems, or metrology equipment.
• Interest in plastics processing, injection molding, medical devices, semiconductors, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
