HR Manager (Manufacturing)

Location: Bloomfield, Connecticut, United States; onsite manufacturing plant

Salary: $106,300–$146,200 annual base salary

What you will do

• Manage daily HR operations, recruiting support, employee relations, investigations, policy interpretation, and disciplinary processes.
• Lead learning, development, succession planning, performance management, and front-line leadership training.
• Manage hourly and salaried compensation processes, job descriptions, wage recommendations, benefits, and leave administration.
• Partner with plant leadership on safety performance, wellness programs, employee engagement, organizational effectiveness, and change management.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including lean manufacturing, 5S, kaizen events, standard work, and the Key Operator Certification Program.
• Maintain compliance with affirmative action, OSHA, FMLA, ADA, employment laws, and regulatory audits.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• 5+ years of Human Resources Generalist experience.
• 3+ years of HR experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 1 year of people management experience.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, facilitation, conflict resolution, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Ability to support a manufacturing workforce and respond to employee relations issues on a 24/7 basis.

Nice to have

• Degree in Human Resources Management or a related field, or a master's degree in Human Resources Management.
• PHR or SHRM certification.
• Experience with employee relations, employment law, regulatory compliance, lean principles, 5S, and standard work development.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
