Human Resources Generalist (Healthcare)

Location: Winchester, Virginia, United States. Full-time onsite role, Monday–Friday, with regular presence at the employment site and occasional travel to other sites or conferences.

Salary: $65,000–$85,000 annually

What you will do

• Advise employees and leaders on workplace concerns, HR policies, employee relations, and employment practices.
• Conduct objective investigations into employee concerns, workplace conflicts, and policy violations.
• Facilitate conflict resolution and coach managers through performance management, corrective action, documentation, and employee development.
• Manage recruitment activities from sourcing and screening through interviews, offers, background checks, onboarding, and new-hire integration.
• Support leave administration, accommodations, compensation discussions, organizational changes, workforce planning, and talent development.
• Conduct exit interviews, analyze workforce trends, provide recommendations, and deliver HR-related training.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least three years of progressive Human Resources Generalist experience.
• Experience with employee relations issues, workplace investigations, recruiting, performance management, compensation, leave administration, and HR compliance.
• Strong understanding of employment laws, HR policies, and HR best practices.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, conflict resolution, problem-solving, judgment, and discretion.
• Ability to work onsite at the Winchester employment site during regularly scheduled business hours.

Nice to have

• PHR, SHRM-CP, SPHR, or SHRM-SCP certification.
• Healthcare, multi-site HR, physician practice, or outpatient healthcare experience.
• Experience facilitating investigations, coaching leaders through complex employee relations matters, or delivering training programs.
