Business Architect (AI)

Location: Chicago, Illinois, United States; hybrid arrangement with 2 days per week on-site at 70 W Madison St, with remaining days potentially remote. Candidates must be legally eligible to work at the specified location and may need a valid work or study permit.

Salary: $160,000–$175,000 annually, based on experience, qualifications, and location. Eligibility for incentive compensation may also apply.

What you will do

• Develop and mature the business architecture practice within the US Technology organization.
• Work with business leaders to identify strategic capabilities, define future-state architecture, and create business roadmaps.
• Define and maintain capability maps, value streams, process architecture, and related enterprise artifacts.
• Partner with technology architects and leaders to align technical solutions with business imperatives.
• Lead risk management strategy initiatives, capability delivery, planning, sequencing, and prioritization across lines of business.
• Establish pragmatic governance, standards, and methods for creating and maintaining business architecture artifacts.

Requirements

• 6+ years of business architecture experience, ideally in commercial banking, wealth management, or corporate employee technology.
• Practical experience across multiple lines of business through business architecture, product management, or both.
• Applied AI fluency for evaluating and prioritizing business use cases aligned with strategic objectives and capability gaps.
• Degree in business, information technology, computer science, engineering, finance, or a related combination of education and industry experience.
• Experience leading and influencing stakeholders, synthesizing complex information, developing business models, and managing multiple priorities independently.
• Legal eligibility to work in the United States at the specified location and a valid work or study permit where applicable.
