Salary: $100,800–$126,000 USD base salary annually; total compensation including equity is $110,875–$143,625 USD annually

What you will do

  • Design and support spacecraft electrical harnesses, including layouts, connectors, backshells, wire selection, shielding, split locations, and lengths.
  • Generate connector pinout tables from spacecraft interconnect diagrams.
  • Create and maintain harness bills of materials in the product lifecycle management system.
  • Prepare electrical system schematics and harness design documentation for spacecraft engineering and CAD development.
  • Develop avionics subsystem and component test plans and procedures, and perform circuit analysis for performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
  • Represent avionics electrical engineering in internal and customer-facing design reviews and support multidisciplinary satellite assembly design.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in aerospace, mechanical, electrical, or another engineering discipline.
  • At least 2 years of electrical engineering or avionics experience.
  • U.S. citizenship or other eligibility under applicable U.S. space technology export regulations is required for U.S. office roles.
  • Ability to work in production areas with prolonged sitting, standing, walking, and computer work, with occasional exposure to moderate noise, dust, and fumes.

Nice to have

  • Master’s or PhD in engineering and experience in aerospace, defense, satellite development, or satellite operations.
  • Experience with LTspice, Altium, Siemens software such as Teamcenter, or requirements management tools such as Jama.
  • Experience testing electrical subsystems, including thermal vacuum, random vibration, and hardware-in-the-loop testing.
  • Knowledge of power electronics, communication interfaces, signal integrity, grounding, instrumentation, and sensors.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
