TL;DR
Harness Design Engineer (Aerospace): Designing and developing electrical harnesses for spacecraft, payloads, and test systems with an accent on electrical interfaces, 3D harness assemblies, and production documentation. Focus on translating schematics and pinouts into reliable hardware, supporting fabrication and integration testing, and troubleshooting spacecraft electrical systems.

Location: Toulouse, Occitanie, France. Workplace: On-site. Relocation assistance to Toulouse is available when applicable.

What you will do

  • Design electrical harnesses for spacecraft, payloads, and test systems.
  • Translate schematics, interface control documents, pinouts, and electrical interfaces into harness designs.
  • Create harness schematics and 3D harness assemblies using Creo.
  • Develop manufacturing drawings, bills of material, and harness documentation.
  • Support harness fabrication, inspection, integration, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Contribute to harness libraries, design standards, and continuous improvement across electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, and test teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong foundation in electrical engineering, circuits, electronics, and electrical interfaces.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, pinouts, and interface documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and interest in precise, hands-on engineering work.
  • Ability to learn engineering tools and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Creo, SolidWorks, CATIA, or another 3D CAD system.
  • Experience with schematics, wiring diagrams, block diagrams, or connectivity data.
  • Familiarity with connectors, wires, cables, shielding, grounding, strain relief, and EMI/EMC.
  • Hands-on experience with electronics, PCBs, soldering, crimping, electrical test equipment, or hardware integration.
  • Coursework or project experience in embedded systems, RF, signal integrity, power electronics, or high-speed digital design.
