Senior Design Engineer (Autonomous Haul Trucks)

Location: Onsite five days a week in Tucson, Arizona; alternative location in Irving, Texas. Domestic relocation is available.

Salary: $112,710–$169,060 per year

What you will do

• Design, develop, build, and implement products, components, and technologies for fleet products.
• Plan and deliver projects for new models, features, and options integrating Command for Hauling systems with MineStar environments.
• Research materials and competitive products, and coordinate prototype construction, testing, and analysis.
• Develop functional requirements, detailed design documents, and validation plans.
• Provide technical guidance for autonomy hardware on haul trucks and support supplier development and performance.
• Prepare proposals, cost estimates, technical reports, and buy-build analyses.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant job-related experience.
• Strong analytical thinking, communication, prioritization, and technical problem-solving skills.
• Experience supporting machine design projects, including light fabrication or electrical/electronics integration.
• Experience with new product development project leadership and mentoring.
• Ability to work onsite five days per week in the United States.
• Visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Command for Hauling product applications.
• Experience with APQP, FMEA, and supply chain processes.
• Experience with Creo, Teamcenter, or Six Sigma.
