Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) II (Cybersecurity)

Location: Onsite in Dayton, Ohio, United States. U.S. citizenship and TS/SCI clearance are required; candidates must be able to attain TS/SCI with a CI polygraph. Travel required: 10–25%.

Salary: $88,400–$119,600 per year, depending on experience, geographic location, and contractual requirements.

What you will do

• Maintain the operational security posture of information systems supporting DoD agencies and Special Access Programs.
• Prepare, review, and update authorization packages and security-related documentation.
• Coordinate hardware, software, and firmware changes with the ISSM and authorization officials, including security impact analysis across authorization boundaries.
• Conduct system reviews, self-inspections, audit-record analysis, recovery monitoring, and compliance assessments.
• Identify cybersecurity vulnerabilities and assist with implementing countermeasures.
• Support physical and environmental protection, personnel security, incident handling, security training, and in-house and external customers.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and TS/SCI clearance required; ability to attain TS/SCI with a CI polygraph is mandatory.
• At least 2 years of related experience, including prior work as a systems administrator, network administrator, or ISSO.
• Special Access Program experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field, an associate degree plus 2 years of experience, or equivalent experience of 4 years.
• IAT Level II or IAM Level II certification required within 6 months of hire, such as Security+ CE or CCNA Security.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds.
