Cyber Systems Engineer Technical Specialist - DAO-Rep (Cybersecurity)

Location: Westfields, Virginia; onsite in a SCIF with no remote or telework allowed. Customer core hours are 0900–1500, Monday–Friday.

Salary: $133,901.35–$232,828.46 per year

What you will do

• Support the customer as a Delegated Authorizing Official Representative in cybersecurity and information assurance.
• Ensure compliance with ICD-503, customer directives, and policies throughout the RMF 1–6 lifecycle.
• Review asset risk postures and provide recommendations during the Authority to Operate process.
• Manage and track POAMs with ISSO, ISSE, ISSM, and SCA stakeholders after authorization.
• Screen new asset requests and facilitate System Review Team decisions on regulations, data impact assignments, and overlays.
• Maintain continuous monitoring, assign security controls, and provide authorization-related support.

Requirements

• Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
• Must support customer core hours onsite in a SCIF; remote and telework are not allowed.
• 10–12 years of experience with a BS/BA, 8–10 years with an MS/MA, or 5–7 years with a PhD.
• Level III DoD 8570 certification in IAT or IAM, or the ability to obtain it within six months of starting.
• Experience implementing the RMF process and NIST 800-53 technical controls and maintaining certification and accreditation documentation.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, cloud security groups, vulnerability management tools, and Splunk reporting.

Nice to have

• STEM bachelor’s degree or advanced information assurance certification.
• Experience briefing senior customer personnel and supporting IC or DoD cybersecurity programs.
• Experience with AWS, ServiceNow, cross-domain systems, and customer information assurance processes.
• Ability to prioritize numerous requests in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
