Focus on resolving reimbursement barriers, coordinating specialty pharmacies and HUB services, and maintaining uninterrupted therapy access throughout the product lifecycle.

Location: Field-based/remote within or near Minneapolis, MN or Chicago, IL, United States; up to 50% travel required

Annual base salary: $161,280–$197,120

What you will do

  • Provide compliant reimbursement and patient access education to designated HAE centers, healthcare providers, and accounts in the assigned territory.
  • Serve as the primary contact and subject matter expert for reimbursement and access inquiries, issues, and problem-solving.
  • Educate patients and providers about affordability options, including copay assistance, and what to expect when initiating therapy.
  • Coordinate with regional account managers, internal teams, specialty pharmacies, patient support services, payers, and the HUB vendor.
  • Support seamless and uninterrupted patient access across the product lifecycle.
  • Work cross-functionally in a matrix environment to improve patient and provider experiences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 8+ years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, including pharmaceutical or rare disease sales, access and reimbursement, market access, or related expertise.
  • 3+ years of experience in access and reimbursement.
  • U.S. rare disease reimbursement experience and experience working with a third-party HUB.
  • Understanding of HIPAA rules and patient privacy requirements.
  • Patient-centric mindset with strong emotional intelligence and empathy.

Nice to have

  • Experience in a commercial-stage biotech company.
  • Direct experience working with patients.
  • Experience supporting access for a commercially available rare disease product in the United States.
