Manufacturing Supervisor / Operations Work Team Leader (Lean Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Lead an assigned operations department to achieve safety, quality, reliability, cost, delivery, continuous improvement, and employee engagement objectives.
• Improve manufacturing processes by eliminating waste, applying kaizen, and maintaining a shop-floor focus.
• Build pull-system operations using customer demand, takt time, and one-piece flow.
• Drive zero-defect performance, identify quality root causes, and implement corrective solutions with customer service and corporate quality teams.
• Manage safety programs, 5-S practices, environmental goals, training, staffing, and compliance with applicable legislation.
• Coach, develop, recognize, and hold employees accountable while supporting performance reviews and process improvements.

Requirements

• At least four years of successful supervisory experience in an operations environment, or four years of demonstrated leadership experience directing others with proven results.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and ISO quality system fundamentals.
• Strong verbal, nonverbal, interpersonal, communication, conflict-resolution, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to identify issues, solve problems, build relationships, and develop talent.
• Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
