Senior Associate / Vice President (Natural Resources Lending)

What you will do

• Structure, underwrite, and close relationship-based lending transactions, including revolving credit facilities, asset-based lending, borrowing base and reserve-based lending facilities, term loans, bridge financings, and letters of credit.
• Execute primary syndications, refinancings, amendments, secondary market purchases, and bilateral lending transactions, with a focus on the Natural Resources sector.
• Manage multiple transactions simultaneously and coordinate with Investment Banking, Investment Grade Capital Markets, Leveraged Finance, Legal, and Credit Risk Management.
• Negotiate with syndication banks, borrowers, and external legal counsel on documentation and commercial terms.
• Prepare and review portfolio analytics, presentations, reporting, and recommendations for senior management and capital allocation decisions.
• Identify opportunities to deepen client relationships through lending and support coverage bankers and their clients.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or another quantitative discipline.
• 5–7 years of experience in corporate lending, corporate finance, or financial services.
• Extensive Natural Resources sector experience, including energy, oil and gas, power and renewables, metals and mining, reserve-based lending, and borrowing base structures.
• Strong financial modeling skills, including experience with capital structures and covenant frameworks.
• Superior writing, presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to prepare detailed credit summaries.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.
