Principal Capital Markets Manager - Business Lending (Fintech)

Location: New York, NY; San Francisco, CA; or Mountain View, CA. Hybrid schedule with in-office presence required three days per week.

Base pay: $208,000–$281,500 in New York or $212,000–$287,000 in Mountain View, plus potential bonus, equity rewards, and benefits.

What you will do

• Develop, originate, and scale funding strategies for business loans and commercial credit cards.
• Structure and execute warehouse facilities, forward-flow loan sales, securitizations, and customized financing transactions.
• Lead deal structuring, diligence, contract negotiations, and efforts to optimize funding costs and liquidity.
• Build relationships with institutional investors, capital providers, banks, originating partners, and third-party agents.
• Provide market intelligence on pricing trends and transaction structures, and maintain investor and partner pitch materials.
• Partner with product, risk, legal, compliance, collections, credit, and engineering teams to launch financial products and scale capital markets initiatives.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in lending capital markets, preferably with a bank, specialty finance lender, or asset management firm.
• Experience structuring and executing asset-backed credit facilities, whole-loan sales, and securitizations.
• Advanced proficiency in liquidity forecasting models, funding cost optimization, and cash-needs analysis.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to clearly explain decisions and their rationale.
• Experience managing cross-functional projects from start to finish.
