Junior CPU Verification Engineer (SystemVerilog)

Location: Hybrid work model with on-site and off-site work at hirify.global sites in Austin, Texas, or Hillsboro, Oregon, United States.

Annual salary: $91,150–$149,150 USD

What you will do

• Perform functional verification of CPU logic against specifications and microarchitecture requirements.
• Develop IP verification plans, test benches, simulation models, and verification environments.
• Execute verification plans, analyze coverage, power, and timing, and uncover presilicon defects.
• Replicate, root-cause, and debug failing tests, then implement corrective measures.
• Collaborate with CPU architects, RTL developers, and physical design teams on architectural and microarchitectural features.
• Document plans, lead technical reviews, and improve verification infrastructure and methodology.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related field.
• At least 3 months of educational or work experience in digital logic design.
• Experience with at least one scripting language, such as Python, Perl, or Tcl.
• Experience with C++ and SystemVerilog.
• Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Experience using AI agents in projects, coursework, or software development.
• RTL development and SystemVerilog debugging experience.
• Knowledge of x86 or other computer architectures and assembly language.
• Familiarity with Git and Synopsys simulators.
