Senior Engineer Emulation

Salary: $86,000–$148,000 per year

What you will do

• Build designs for emulation, run tests, identify failure points, capture failure waveforms, and perform initial triage.
• Improve, maintain, and expand emulation testbench components, including custom IP and AVIP where applicable.
• Work with technical teams to support debugging efforts.
• Develop and maintain scalable scripts for use across product lines.
• Analyze emulator behavior to optimize debugging strategies and improve build performance and resource usage.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree with at least 2 years of practical experience.
• Experience with emulation platforms such as Veloce, Zebu, or Palladium.
• Strong scripting skills with Python, TCL, Bash, and Makefiles.
• Strong debugging skills covering CPU-internal, integration, emulator configuration or synthesis, scripting, Linux configuration, and software issues.

Nice to have

• Experience integrating IP with interconnects, bridges, tieoffs, memory-mapped registers, clocks, and resets.
• Experience with RISC-V assembly and AMBA protocols such as AHB, APB, and AXI.
• Experience with the Linux kernel and revision control systems such as Perforce and Git.
