Renewable Tech Sr - Lead (Solar)

Salary: $35–$50 per hour; compensation range $35.84–$52.67 per hour.

What you will do

• Lead renewable site operations to support safety, environmental compliance, performance, reliability, and profitability.
• Operate and maintain solar PV collection assemblies, battery energy storage systems, AC/DC inverters, and other renewable generation equipment.
• Perform corrective, preventive, and emergency maintenance, inspections, repairs, and balance-of-plant activities, including roads and equipment.
• Coordinate OEM and contractor oversight and support equipment monitoring and repair activities.
• Use electrical, schematic, wiring, and control diagrams to troubleshoot electrical, electronic, mechanical, and control-system issues.
• Initiate permits and LOTO procedures, manage stored-energy isolation, analyze operational data, and maintain technical records and reports.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Four years of renewable-industry technician or related experience, or 10 years of related power-generation experience with electrical maintenance or I&C controls, plus two years of supervisory experience.
• Experience working with voltages from 24V to 34.5kV; knowledge of higher voltages is recommended.
• Knowledge of electrical or mechanical fundamentals, including electrical measurements, control circuits, and solid-state theory.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Associate degree in electronics, engineering technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent journeyman qualifications, is desired.
