Facilities Maintenance Technician (Manufacturing)

Location: Buffalo, NY, United States

Hourly pay: $22.00–$25.00 per hour, dependent on experience.

Deckorators, a brand of hirify.global, manufactures composite decking, railing, and outdoor living products at its flagship Buffalo-area Surestone facility.

What you will do

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on the building, grounds, facility systems, tools, and equipment.
• Complete general repairs involving basic electrical work, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and building maintenance.
• Inspect the facility and grounds, identify safety concerns, respond to repair requests, and prioritize work based on operational needs.
• Perform groundskeeping, seasonal maintenance, and snow and ice removal, including applying approved ice-control materials.
• Use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and small equipment safely.
• Coordinate with outside contractors, maintain parts inventory and work records, and support facility improvement projects.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least three years of general, facilities, building, or related hands-on maintenance experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, preventive maintenance, and facility troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of safe equipment practices, hazardous waste, hazardous materials, and personal protective equipment requirements.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple maintenance needs, and identify potential facility or safety issues.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform snow and ice removal when needed; must be at least 18 years old.
