Technician, Facility Services, Food Equipment

Location: Onsite at 2373 E Main St, Plainfield, Indiana, United States

Salary: $26.00–$51.00 per hour, with possible additional premiums of $0.35–$3.00 per hour. A sign-on bonus may be available for select locations.

What you will do

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair commercial food equipment, facilities, fixtures, and assets using plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and material-handling skills.
• Service equipment including ovens, slicers, fryers, hot cases, ice makers, pizza ovens, rotisseries, bakery equipment, tortilla makers, grease systems, and used cooking oil tanks.
• Receive reactive work orders, document repair activities, and maintain accurate work orders and maintenance logs.
• Inspect, operate, and test equipment and fixtures to identify faults and complete timely repairs.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls and follow established preventive-maintenance schedules.
• Train store associates in equipment care and cleaning while supporting food safety and preventing cross-contamination.

Requirements

• Vocational or technical certification plus 2 years of experience in plumbing, electrical, material-handling equipment, or a related area; alternatively, 4 years of relevant experience.
• Related trade license in the city or state where the position is located.
• Valid state-issued driver's license, clean driving record, and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
• Commercial driving record must meet requirements for DUI/DWI/OUI convictions, moving violations, preventable accidents, and serious traffic violations.
• High school diploma or equivalent; ability to lift up to 50 pounds, use ladders, work at heights and in varying temperatures, and sit or stand for extended periods.
• Must complete required safety training for operating equipment and tools.

Nice to have

• Experience with commercial HVAC/R, building controls, mechanical maintenance, or construction.
• Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, and office productivity software.
