Facilities Maintenance Worker (Foundry Manufacturing)

Location: Columbia, Pennsylvania, United States — plant; onsite

Salary: $27.12 per hour, paid weekly

What you will do

• Perform general facility maintenance and repairs throughout the foundry and supporting areas.
• Repair plumbing systems, including sinks, toilets, faucets, valves, drains, piping, and water lines.
• Complete handyman repairs such as drywall, painting, patching, caulking, doors, hardware, and minor carpentry.
• Maintain fixtures, barriers, railings, guards, lighting, and other building infrastructure.
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, corrective actions, installations, renovations, and equipment moves.
• Respond to maintenance requests, coordinate with contractors, and maintain safe, clean work areas.

Requirements

• Previous facilities, building, plumbing, industrial maintenance, or related experience is preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and basic to intermediate plumbing knowledge.
• Knowledge of carpentry, drywall, painting, hardware, and general handyman work.
• Ability to safely use hand tools and power tools, work independently, and prioritize multiple maintenance needs.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, lift, carry, push, and pull throughout the workday.
• Ability to work onsite in a hot, humid, dusty, and noisy foundry environment around machinery, forklifts, and other industrial hazards while wearing required PPE.
