Technician, Facility Services General Maintenance

Location: Onsite at 9570 SW Highway 200, Ocala, Florida 34481, United States

Salary: $26.00–$51.00 per hour, plus possible premiums of $0.35–$3.00 per hour

What you will do

• Perform preventive maintenance on facilities, equipment, fixtures, and HVACR systems.
• Inspect, clean, repair, and document equipment condition, deficiencies, and maintenance activities.
• Manage work orders and maintenance schedules while coordinating contractor compliance with quality and safety standards.
• Order parts, track purchases, compare prices, and submit warranty claims.
• Operate and inspect heavy machinery and vehicles, coordinate vehicle maintenance, and maintain required documentation.
• Collaborate with facility teams to improve processes and support safe, reliable operations.

Requirements

• Vocational or technical certification and two years of experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or a related area; alternatively, four years of related experience.
• Valid state-issued driver's license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
• No DUI, DWI, or OUI convictions in the last five years.
• No more than two moving violations in the last three years and no preventable commercial vehicle accidents during that period.
• No serious traffic violations under the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three years.
• Knowledge of OSHA and EPA safety requirements, maintenance documentation, work orders, parts tracking, and contractor coordination.

Nice to have

• Completion of a two-year vocational or technical trade program.
• Experience with word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software.
• Related trade license in the city or state where the role is located.
• Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
