Continues Improvement Engineering Intern (Lean)

What you will do

• Design, build, and test manufacturing and supply chain process improvements using Lean tools including 3P, Standard Work, and Visual Management.
• Lead trystorming sessions and participate in Kaizen events to prototype, validate, and implement improvements on the shop floor.
• Apply industrial engineering methods such as time studies, layout optimization, capacity modeling, simulations, and statistical analysis.
• Develop production systems covering equipment layout, material flow, ergonomics, and operational performance.
• Create process documentation, standard work, visual controls, and KPI reporting to sustain improvements.
• Collaborate with operators, engineers, leadership, and cross-functional teams while coaching colleagues in Lean and hirify.global Business System practices.

Requirements

• Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program in engineering, business, or design.
• Hands-on experience with process improvement, including prototyping, testing, and iteration.
• Knowledge of Lean tools including 5S, Standard Work, Value Stream Mapping, 3P, Daily Management, and Visual Controls.
• Proficiency with data analysis and engineering tools such as Excel, AutoCAD, Visio, or simulation software.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and facilitation skills with a bias for action.
