Continuous Improvement Co-Op (Lean Manufacturing)

Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado, United States; onsite

Salary: $20–$30 per hour, depending on overall skills.

What you will do

• Support and facilitate Lean Manufacturing initiatives across the facility.
• Participate in Kaizen events focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Conduct Gemba walks and engage team members in process improvement and problem solving.
• Implement and sustain 5S workplace organization, Kanban, and pull systems.
• Apply Six Sigma tools, root cause analysis, process mapping, Pareto analysis, 5 Why, and Fishbone Diagrams.
• Track Total Daily Management metrics and analyze manufacturing performance data affecting productivity and quality.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's program in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• Expected graduation in December 2026 or later.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Must be available to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., from January through June, and must not require hirify.global immigration sponsorship now or in the future.
