Nursing Informatics Specialist (Epic)

Location: Boston, Massachusetts, United States; 100% onsite

Salary: $123,900–$136,800 per year

What you will do

• Support Epic governance, workflow design, clinical content, build priorities, and future development for nursing operations.
• Collaborate with Epic leadership, analysts, and nursing stakeholders to gather requirements and standardize safe, efficient workflows.
• Represent nursing in cross-functional workgroups and committees, identifying opportunities to improve usability, safety, and quality.
• Investigate, test, and validate system and workflow issues, assessing the impact of changes through data and stakeholder feedback.
• Partner with reporting teams on metrics, report development, data interpretation, and improvement initiatives.
• Support end-user education, communications, clinical documentation policies, and adoption of informatics best practices.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Nursing and/or Health Informatics required; informatics specialization preferred.
• Registered Nurse with 5 or more years of healthcare experience required.
• End-user Epic experience required.
• Current registered nurse licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts required.
• Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, clinical practice, and health IT skills.

Nice to have

• Previous nursing informatics experience.
• Oncology experience in ambulatory or inpatient settings.
