Eligibility Specialist (Healthcare)

Location: Remote, associated with Englewood, Colorado

Salary: $22–$24 per hour

What you will do

• Research current insurance coverage information and update patient management systems.
• Analyze and resolve eligibility variances through web research and patient or payer contact.
• Coordinate referrals, retro-authorizations, and required documentation.
• Identify uninsured patients and refer them for payment assistance coordination.
• Document payer conversations, resolve routine account inquiries, and escalate non-routine issues.
• Communicate payer trends and system issues to leads or supervisors while protecting patient records.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Entry-level profile with 0–2 years of experience in front desk operations, registration, healthcare benefits, or an equivalent area.
• Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Compliance with confidentiality, state and federal regulations, and HIPAA requirements.
• Ability to work remotely in the United States; the role is associated with Englewood, Colorado.
