Patient Access Specialist (Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management)

Location: Onsite at Stamford Long Ridge in Stamford, Connecticut; candidates must work on-site and reside in and be authorized to work within the United States.

Salary: $17.00–$18.15 per hour, based on experience.

What you will do

• Perform patient admitting and pre-registration for hospital services.
• Assign accurate medical record numbers, collect demographic and insurance information, and process physician orders.
• Verify insurance eligibility, select plan codes, enter benefit data, and support point-of-service collections and clean claims.
• Explain consent, Medicare, Tricare, observation, and other required patient forms; obtain signatures and document distribution.
• Screen medical necessity using ABN software and communicate potential Medicare non-payment to patients.
• Operate the telephone switchboard, audit accounts, correct documentation, and provide customer service in accordance with compliance requirements.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of customer service experience.
• CRCR certification required within 6 months of hire; certification is company-paid.
• Must reside in and be authorized to work in the United States.
• Must be able to work onsite at Stamford Long Ridge in Stamford, Connecticut.
