Paramedic (AEMT)

Location: Huntsville, Alabama, United States. Onsite role at an employee health center with dayshift hours from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; the schedule alternates between 36 and 48 hours per week.

What you will do

• Assess illnesses and injuries, prioritize medical procedures, and determine when additional assistance is required.
• Provide emergency treatment, record vital signs, administer injections and IV fluids, and perform cardiac monitoring.
• Communicate with physicians and other medical personnel in person and by radio-telephone.
• Prepare reports, maintain patient and activity records, and keep current with treatment techniques and protocol changes.
• Inspect, clean, requisition, and restock medical equipment and supplies.

Requirements

• Associate degree or equivalent qualification from an accredited paramedic training program.
• Current paramedic certification valid in the state where the work is performed.
• Current ACLS certification.
• At least three years of experience as an EMT-P with an ambulance or EMS service.
• Ability to work onsite in Huntsville, Alabama, on the scheduled 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. dayshift.
