Process Engineering Technician 1 (Manufacturing)

Location: 100% on-site in Pullman, Washington, United States. 3rd shift, 4x10 schedule: Monday–Thursday, 9:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.

Salary: $35.38–$51.10 per hour, plus a $10.00 per hour 3rd-shift differential. Level II range: $38.33–$55.44 per hour.

What you will do

• Provide immediate technical support to manufacturing and clarify production process specifications.
• Measure and improve yield, efficiency, and capacity of manufacturing equipment and processes.
• Document, modify, and maintain manufacturing procedures.
• Manage procurement of assembly process tools.
• Train operators and support staff as needed.
• Apply manufacturing principles and company operating practices.

Requirements

• Two-year technical degree or equivalent experience.
• Familiarity with relevant manufacturing equipment.
• Basic computer skills, including Windows-based productivity tools such as Excel, Word, and SQL.
• Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.
• Ability to learn new skills, assume responsibilities, and work cooperatively in a team.
• Ability to work 100% on-site in Pullman and perform the 3rd-shift schedule.

Nice to have

• Experience troubleshooting process and machinery problems.
• Experience writing or conducting Design of Experiments.
• Experience programming and maintaining automated manufacturing equipment.
• Experience preparing material cross-sections for microscopic analysis.
• Working knowledge of basic analog and digital electronics.
