Commercial Construction Assistant Superintendent (GovCloud)

Salary: $79,200–$132,000 per year, with compensation varying by city, state, experience, qualifications, education, skills, and training.

What you will do

• Support construction workflow and coordinate work with the project manager, field staff, and subcontractors according to the project schedule.
• Verify installation methods and sequencing, maintain quality standards, and follow through on schedule commitments.
• Maintain daily documentation of work orders, tickets, activities, and site conditions.
• Manage subcontractor relationships, identify scope gaps and potential change orders, and resolve problems early.
• Organize the site team, arrange temporary facilities and utilities, and expedite long-lead items.
• Administer the safety program, support inspections, report and investigate incidents, and manage punch-list and project closeout through owner and architect acceptance.

Requirements

• High school diploma required; a four-year degree in construction, engineering, or business is strongly preferred.
• 2–5 years of commercial construction experience, including experience with a commercial general contractor.
• Ability to use project-specific software, including Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Procore, Adobe, and Bluebeam.
• Ability to walk or stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Strong communication, organization, prioritization, collaboration, relationship-building, adaptability, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to uphold HITT’s safety standards, integrity, and core values.

Nice to have

• Experience with tenant renovations, service work, occupied spaces, weekend work, or fast-paced projects.
• Project lead experience.
• OSHA 30 certification.
