Superintendent - Bridge / Structures (Heavy Civil Construction)

What you will do

• Supervise skilled trades crews and lead several Foremen across bridge, highway, roadway, and heavy civil construction activities.
• Direct project execution with the Operations Manager, Project Manager, and Project Engineers, focusing on safety, production, quality, and profitability.
• Establish safety standards and develop 90-day and three-week crew schedules.
• Assist with project scheduling, pre-planning, and goal setting.
• Oversee work-item costs and coordinate manpower, heavy equipment, tools, and materials.
• Coordinate and schedule subcontractors while addressing workforce issues and performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent technical experience progressing from Journeyman to Foreman to Superintendent.
• At least six years of similar construction field-management experience.
• Bridge or highway construction experience is strongly preferred.
• Ability to interpret safety laws, company policies, and industry standards.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, team-management, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience using Microsoft Excel for scheduling and Microsoft Word for pre-planning.
