Director, AI Enablement & Ecosystem (AI)

Location: Baltimore, Maryland, United States; hybrid work with up to one day per week from home

Base salary: $159,000–$272,000 annually for Maryland, Colorado, Washington, and remote workers; other ranges apply to Washington, D.C., New York, and California.

What you will do

• Translate the Global Distribution AI strategy into an integrated roadmap for enablement, distributed innovation, portfolio management, and adoption.
• Establish operating models, governance standards, intake and prioritization processes, business-case requirements, and value-realization metrics for AI initiatives.
• Build the lifecycle for Associate-created AI solutions, from discovery and validation through certification, publishing, measurement, maintenance, and formal delivery.
• Lead role-based AI learning, manager enablement, change management, communications, and the AI Champions Network.
• Partner with Technology, Data, Risk, Human Resources, enterprise AI teams, business leaders, and external platform providers.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team responsible for portfolio management, distributed innovation, and organizational capability building.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; an advanced degree is preferred.
• 10+ years of experience across AI or digital transformation, product management, strategy, operating-model design, innovation, or related fields.
• Experience building and scaling organizational capabilities or operating models and leading adoption, change, or capability-building efforts in complex organizations.
• Strong understanding of generative AI, enterprise AI platforms, agentic workflows, and emerging AI-enabled ways of working.
• Strong executive communication and stakeholder-management skills across business and technical audiences.
• FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.

Nice to have

• 5+ years of people leadership experience.
• Experience in asset management, financial services, or another regulated industry.
• Experience building enterprise communities of practice, distributed innovation models, or reusable-product ecosystems.
• Familiarity with AI governance, responsible AI practices, and enterprise technology architecture.
