Director, AI Enablement & Delivery (AI)

Location: Addison, Texas or Montpelier, Vermont; onsite four days per week on Monday through Thursday

Salary: $157,500–$231,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Lead an enterprise AI delivery and enablement program, department, or major area of accountability.
• Translate AI strategy into operating plans, portfolio priorities, delivery standards, adoption goals, and measurable outcomes.
• Direct complex AI initiatives spanning business functions, technologies, data domains, risk areas, and operational processes.
• Advise senior leaders and governance bodies on AI opportunities, feasibility, business value, adoption readiness, risks, and operating-model implications.
• Establish responsible AI governance practices covering risk tiering, controls, validation, monitoring, documentation, data use, and human oversight.
• Lead AI adoption, workforce readiness, training, communications, support models, and human-in-the-loop implementation practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with 14 or more years of related experience, an advanced degree with 11 or more years, or 18 or more years of equivalent education and experience.
• Extensive experience leading complex cross-functional AI, data, technology, automation, digital transformation, product, program, or enterprise change initiatives.
• Experience leading a department, major program, team, or high-impact area of accountability.
• Recognized expertise in AI delivery, enablement, adoption, governance, business transformation, or a related discipline.
• Strong executive communication, negotiation, facilitation, business acumen, and stakeholder management skills.
• Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Nice to have

• Leadership experience in insurance, financial services, or another highly regulated industry.
• Experience with generative AI, machine learning, agentic systems, enterprise automation, AI platforms, or AI-enabled operating-model transformation.
• Experience designing responsible AI governance, model risk, privacy, security, compliance, legal, or technology control frameworks.
• Experience managing AI investment portfolios, roadmaps, business cases, performance measures, and value-realization programs.
