Project Manager (Construction)

Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Salary: $85,000–$135,000 CAD per year

What you will do

• Plan, coordinate, and deliver construction projects from execution planning through completion and closeout.
• Develop and manage project scopes, budgets, schedules, resources, milestones, and execution plans.
• Lead project teams including Superintendents, subcontractors, consultants, clients, and field personnel.
• Maintain safety, quality, productivity, schedule, and cost performance throughout project delivery.
• Manage budgets, forecast costs, oversee workforce planning, and coordinate labour, subcontractor, and equipment availability.
• Manage client relationships, change orders, claims, contract issues, project risks, and mitigation strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent education and experience may be considered.
• 5–10+ years of construction project management experience with responsibility for budgets, schedules, client relationships, and project delivery.
• Strong knowledge of construction practices, contract administration, project controls, and safety management systems.
• Experience managing clients, consultants, subcontractors, field teams, and other stakeholders.
• Strong leadership, financial, commercial, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s licence with an acceptable driving record.

Nice to have

• Experience with contract management, change orders, and claims administration.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project scheduling software such as Microsoft Project or Primavera P6.
• PMP certification.
