NASA Transport Operations Manager (Logistics)

Location: Addison, Texas, United States; travel to customer, supplier, warehouse, and operational locations is required as needed

What you will do

• Lead daily transportation operations across ATL, DFW, and other assigned Americas locations.
• Direct and develop multi-shift supervisors, operations supervisors, and team leads within a 24/7 operating model.
• Establish shift handovers, coverage plans, workload allocation, escalation paths, and operational management routines.
• Monitor service levels, on-time-in-full performance, operational quality, backlog, productivity, staffing, and failure-reason coding.
• Lead service recovery, containment, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and operational issue resolution with warehouses, carriers, suppliers, and contract manufacturers.
• Support new-site, carrier, lane, program, dashboard, automation, and process-improvement implementations.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of transportation or logistics experience.
• At least 5 years of supervisory or management experience.
• Experience leading multi-shift, high-volume, or multi-location operations.
• Operational knowledge of air, road, ocean, and parcel transportation.
• Working knowledge of dispatch, track and trace, TMS, WMS, and YMS systems.
• Availability for domestic travel and occasional international travel.
