Area Manager (Logistics)

Location: Chicago Warehouse; onsite role with permanent shifts that may include overnights, holidays, and weekends

Salary: $64,800–$81,000 USD annually, plus bonus, equity, and benefits

What you will do

• Launch and operate a fulfillment center while managing and developing a team of 30–100 associates.
• Communicate policies, maintain compliance, support recognition programs, and take corrective action when needed.
• Own performance reporting for receiving, shipping, inventory accuracy, packing quality, and service-level expectations.
• Resolve fulfillment issues, identify root causes of inventory and quality defects, and escalate operational risks.
• Develop standard operating procedures and share best practices across the fulfillment network.
• Collaborate with external partners, Growth, Engineering, and other cross-functional teams to improve operations.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience managing teams of five or more.
• Experience in warehousing, fulfillment, transportation, or logistics management.
• Experience using SQL to create and run reports, plus strong computer literacy with Google Sheets or Excel.
• Experience using problem-solving and data analysis to make high-judgment operational decisions.
• Ability to work onsite on a permanent shift, including possible overnight, holiday, and weekend work.
• Ability to lift up to 49 pounds, stand or walk for 10–12 hours, work in variable noise and temperatures, and access secure mezzanines up to 40 feet.
