Transportation Coordinator (2nd Shift)

Location: Memphis, Tennessee, USA; onsite, second shift

What you will do

• Coordinate the closeout and dispatch of outbound shipments with Operations and carriers.
• Prepare and review international shipping documentation, including Shipper’s Export Declarations and EEI filings when applicable.
• Create HAZMAT documentation, verify labeling, and ensure compliance with shipping and safety requirements.
• Manage carrier equipment needs, door assignments, swaps, live loads, tracking updates, mode conversions, and shipment notifications.
• Coordinate cold-chain shipments by verifying packing lists, trailer temperature set points, and temperature details on bills of lading or manifests.
• Oversee trailer loading, pallet counts, load securement, chain-of-custody transfers, safety compliance, and closeout while providing work-group leadership and supervisory backup.

Requirements

• High school diploma required.
• Background in operations and knowledge of the transportation industry.
• Experience using MercuryGate or another transportation management system as a user.
• HAZMAT certification required.
• Working knowledge of TMS platforms, auditing tools, reporting and analytics, and Microsoft Office at an intermediate level.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, load-validation, and continuous-improvement skills.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Supply Chain or Finance.
• Background in transportation and distribution.
• APICS CSCP certification.
• Microsoft Office Suite and Power BI user-level experience.
