Senior Data & Analytics Analyst – Vendor & Category Performance (AI)

Location: Hybrid position based at the office in St. Paul, Minnesota, United States

Salary: $85,500.00–$113,966.67 per year

What you will do

• Develop scalable reports, dashboards, visualizations, and analytics solutions using enterprise data.
• Query, analyze, and interpret complex data with SQL and BI tools, including data fulfillment analysis.
• Analyze vendor, product, pricing, revenue, margin, volume, cost, product-mix, rebate, and incentive performance.
• Support vendor management, category management, marketing, finance, sales, and commercial decision-making with actionable insights.
• Replace manual spreadsheet reporting with automated, scalable, and self-service analytics.
• Support AI-enabled analytics, GenAI, analytical copilots, automation, and executive-level presentations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business analytics, finance, economics, data analytics, information systems, statistics, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, commercial analysis, financial analysis, or a related field.
• Strong SQL and advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with Power BI or a comparable BI and reporting platform.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, data visualization, and data storytelling skills.
• Understanding of revenue, gross profit, margin, price, volume, cost, and product-mix metrics, with the ability to communicate recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences.

Nice to have

• Experience with vendor, supplier, category, product, pricing, promotional, rebate, or commercial analytics.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure, Databricks, Power BI semantic models, or DAX.
• Experience with GenAI, analytical copilots, AI-enabled BI platforms, or third-party market and competitive data.
• Experience in distribution, manufacturing, healthcare, dental or medical devices, CPG, retail, or other product-intensive industries.
