Industrial Engineering Co-Op

Location: Bedford, Massachusetts, United States; onsite work on the production floor

What you will do

• Investigate root causes of missed production schedule due dates on the production floor.
• Implement OEE tracking for manufacturing equipment.
• Analyze production data and recommend improvements to labor pools, work centers, and SAP routings.
• Conduct time studies comparing actual and theoretical routing times.
• Execute production-floor improvements based on root cause analysis findings.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's program and graduating in 2028 or 2029.
• Major in industrial, mechanical, or chemical engineering.
• Available to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., from January through June 2027.
• Must be able to work on the plant floor with manufacturing equipment and interview operations personnel about production processes.
• Familiarity with or willingness to learn data analysis, continuous improvement concepts, Lean, Six Sigma, and SAP.
