Skilled Group Leader - Facilities (Automotive Manufacturing)

Location: Toyota Motor Mfg Alabama, United States; onsite role with rotating shifts and weekend work required up to 50%

What you will do

• Lead and develop the Facilities Maintenance team, providing daily direction, technical resources, training, and work plans.
• Ensure safe and efficient operating conditions for facilities equipment and support department KPIs.
• Lead activities supporting Hoshin objectives and Toyota Production System principles.
• Manage weekend trials, shutdown work, resources, project timelines, and quality targets.
• Develop next-generation Facilities Maintenance team members.

Requirements

• Experience in facilities maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
• In-depth knowledge of Johnson Controls systems and PLCs, preventive maintenance, Kaizen processes, and FMDS.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex issues, diagnose component failures, and read and create electrical schematics.
• Experience upgrading obsolete systems from concept through implementation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel, including project milestone schedules and work plans.
• Must have the right to work in the United States without current or future Toyota immigration sponsorship; availability for rotating shifts and weekend work is required.

Nice to have

• Two- or four-year technical degree, such as electrical engineering or a related field.
• Supervisory experience, including formal reviews, coaching, and team training.
• Experience with workplace organization and 5S, equipment improvement plans, five-year visions, cost management, and cost reduction.
