Battery Production Engineer (Battery Electric Vehicle BEV)

Location: Liberty, North Carolina, United States. Onsite manufacturing role with off-shift work, flexible hours, weekends, holidays, and shutdown periods as required. Must have the right to work in the United States without current or future hirify.global immigration sponsorship.

What you will do

• Support battery production trials, planning, implementation, equipment installation, and production readiness.
• Work with production, maintenance, quality, and other departments on cross-functional manufacturing projects.
• Track and visualize operation rate, yield, scrap, and other engineering KPIs to drive continual improvement.
• Analyze machine data and use shop-floor observations, Power BI, and the Manufacturing Execution System for problem solving and root cause analysis.
• Improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost through data-driven engineering activities and process changes.
• Manage changepoints, budgets, project execution, detailed scopes of work, schedules, vendors, contractors, and status reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent years of experience.
• Experience in manufacturing, engineering, maintenance, quality, or project management.
• Ability to solve problems in a fast-paced, high-speed manufacturing environment and build consensus with support groups.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and AutoCAD 2D/3D.
• Experience leading cross-functional groups toward safety, quality, productivity, or cost-saving goals.
• Operational familiarity with electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, PLC, robotics, and safety systems.

Nice to have

• Experience at a hirify.global manufacturing company.
• Battery cell, module, or similar experience in a highly automated production environment.
• Experience with TPS, Just-In-Time, hirify.global Business Practice, and 5-Why analysis.
• Industrial process engineering skills involving machine reliability, controls, IoT process monitoring, data analytics, or process and equipment FMEA.
