Senior Accountant (AI)

Base salary: $90,000–$110,000 per year

What you will do

• Review lease invoices, coding, vendor discrepancies, and recurring lease costs.
• Analyze lease agreements and maintain lease schedules for new agreements and modifications.
• Prepare lease journal entries, account reconciliations, depreciation expense, and fixed-asset reconciliations.
• Complete month-end close activities and collaborate with teams to gather supporting information.
• Prepare audit documentation, maintain internal controls, and support ad hoc accounting projects.
• Help automate accounting workflows by evaluating AI tools and building agentic processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• 5+ years of experience in a technology, SaaS, or startup environment, preferably with lease accounting exposure.
• Understanding of GAAP and strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Experience with accounting software such as NetSuite is preferred; Net Lease experience is a plus.
• Expertise with office productivity tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Hands-on experience with AI tools and strong interest in applying AI to accounting workflow automation.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of ASC 842 lease accounting.
• Experience automating month-end close activities such as journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Experience designing end-to-end agentic workflows for accounting processes.
• Experience connecting Claude to live data through MCP servers and APIs, including NetSuite integrations.
• Experience testing and validating AI tools for accounting use cases.
