Senior Revenue Accountant (AI)

Location: Mountain View, California, or San Francisco, California, United States

Salary: $122,400–$168,300 USD annually, plus potential performance bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Own monthly revenue accounting close activities, including usage reviews, journal entries, flux analyses, reconciliations, and analytics.
• Apply ASC 606 to customer contracts, assess non-standard terms, and document accounting conclusions.
• Pull, validate, and troubleshoot contract, system, and transaction data at the source.
• Build or champion automation using SQL queries, scripts, workflow improvements, AI tools, and large language models.
• Prepare financial reporting metrics, disclosures, analyses, audit schedules, and control documentation.
• Partner with Revenue Operations, Deal Desk, Billing, FP&A, FDS, engineering, and auditors on scalable processes and improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Finance or Accounting.
• 5+ years of combined public accounting and/or corporate revenue accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of ASC 606, complex revenue recognition, and quote-to-cash processes.
• Hands-on experience investigating transactions, validating system outputs, and working independently under tight deadlines.
• Proficiency with Excel, NetSuite, and Salesforce.
• Professional experience using AI tools, LLMs, copilots, or scripting assistants.

Nice to have

• CPA or equivalent certification.
• Database and SQL experience.
• Experience identifying inefficiencies and implementing or advocating for automation.
