Company

hirify.global develops software-defined factories combining advanced metal forming, robotics, and automated production for aerospace, defense, and advanced mobility manufacturing.

What you will do

  • Perform precision layout, measurement, cutting, forming, fitting, tack welding, welding, and assembly of complex metallic components.
  • Read and apply engineering drawings, weld symbols, GD&T, specifications, work instructions, weld procedures, and travelers.
  • Fit and align components using fixtures, clamps, tooling, purge systems, and fabrication equipment while maintaining required geometry and joint gaps.
  • Inspect dimensional accuracy, fit-up, weld quality, cleanliness, traceability, and conformance to engineering and quality requirements.
  • Troubleshoot fabrication, tooling, dimensional, and welding issues while partnering with Engineering, Quality, and Production.
  • Support first-article builds, prototypes, new product introduction, process development, production ramp activities, and advanced robotic or automated welding.

Requirements

  • Professional experience in welding, fitting, fabrication, or a related precision manufacturing environment.
  • Strong hands-on fabrication, mechanical assembly, measurement, layout, fitting, and alignment skills.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, weld symbols, GD&T, specifications, and manufacturing work instructions.
  • Experience using welding equipment, hand and power tools, fixtures, fabrication equipment, and precision measurement instruments.
  • Ability to work within tight dimensional, alignment, and fit-up requirements and troubleshoot problems independently.
  • Ability to follow controlled procedures, safety requirements, quality standards, PPE, FOD prevention, and 5S/6S practices.

Nice to have

  • Experience with GTAW/TIG, GMAW/MIG, laser welding, robotic welding, or automated welding systems.
  • Aerospace, defense, automotive, space, or other precision manufacturing experience.
  • Experience with aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, nickel alloys, thin-wall components, or complex weldments.
  • Knowledge of AWS and ASME codes, AWS D17.1, AWS welding certification, or AS9100 quality systems.
  • Experience with first-article builds, new product introduction, prototype-to-production transitions, or process improvement.

Culture & Benefits

  • Full-time, on-site work in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Collaboration with Engineering, Quality, Production, and other manufacturing teams.
  • Opportunities to contribute to evolving fabrication, welding, and production processes.
  • Occasional overtime or weekend shifts may be required based on program needs.
  • Work requires extended standing, detailed hands-on activity under PPE, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
